Rottnest Channel Swim Metro Safety Briefing
The Metro Safety Briefing for the 2025 South 32 Rottnest Channel Swim Event will be held on Thursday 13 February 2025 at Perth HPC for all participants registered in the metro area.
Doors open at 6pm with the event briefing starting at 6:30pm.
There will be activations including merchandise sales available from 5pm.

If you’re competing (as a solo or part of a duo/team) and your registration is listed as living in the metropolitan area, you’ll be automatically disqualified if you don’t turn up. If you’re swimming solo and you’re located in the Perth metropolitan area but can’t attend the Metro Safety Briefing, please contact the RCSA via query@rottnestchannelswim.com.au as soon as possible.

Metro Safety Briefing
Activations start 5:00pm Briefing doors open 6:00pm Briefing starts 6:30pm Event concludes 9:00pm (approx.) Support Crew Info Session
After the Metro Safety Briefing, there will be a Support Crew Info Session located in the Main Arena at Perth HPC. The session will include a panel of guests from Marine Rescue Fremantle, the Department of Transport (Marine), Paddle WA, the Route Optimisation Tool developers, the RCSA Race Director as well as an experienced skipper and swimmer of the Rotto Swim.
You’ll learn tips and tricks, what to expect on event day and invaluable information that some of our guests have learned along the way. While the session is designed for support crew first-timers, everyone is welcome to come along!Interstate, International and Regional Safety Briefing
A separate safety briefing will be held on Friday 21 February 2025 for interstate, international and regional competitors. This briefing is invitation only to interstate, international and regional participants and will be held in The Ellis Room at Bendat Basketball Centre. If you’re unsure whether your residential address is considered regional, please contact the RCSA as soon as possible. If you’re in the metropolitan area of Perth, you’ll be expected to attend the Metro Safety Briefing.
