Swimming is at the heart of Australian life. Surrounded by ocean, we naturally feel at home in the water, and in the world of competitive swimming, we've always excelled. This success comes from world class facilities that transform passionate swimmers into high performance athletes.
Perth High Performance Centre (Perth HPC) is Perth's premier swimming facility, built for athletes striving to be their best, whether you're an aspiring Olympian or a club swimmer looking to improve your time. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, expert coaching staff and a commitment to excellence, the venue offers a training and competition environment designed for success.
1. We Have State-of-the-Art Facilities
Perth HPC is equipped with everything needed for high performance swimming, featuring multiple indoor and outdoor competition-standard pools, timekeeping systems, and optimal water conditions.
Our aquatic facilities include three 50m pools, a dive pool, and a water polo pool - all meeting World Aquatics standards. We’ve hosted major events like the 2022 Diving and Artistic Swimming National Championships, the 2019 Water Polo Intercontinental Cup, and the 1991 and 1998 World Aquatics Championships.

2. We Support Development at Every Level
Perth HPC isn’t just for elite swimmers, it supports athletes at all stages of development. From juniors with potential to seasoned competitors refining their skills, the centre offers access to high-quality training environments. Swimmers progress through different development stages, focusing on technique, mental resilience and work ethic. Perth HPC also works closely with local swim clubs and the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS), creating clear pathways from club competitions to higher levels of the sport.

Perth HPC has a proven history of developing athletes who have competed at the highest levels, including the World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Olympic and Paralympic Games. Notable athletes include Tamsin Cook, Blair Evans, Ben Popham, Brianna Throssell, Iona Anderson, and Josh Yong, along with divers Nikita Hains and Maddison Keeney, and water polo Olympian Zoe Arancini.
