Running during the school term and over the holidays, our kids activities are specifically aimed at developing life skills to keep your children healthy, active, and engaged.

Whether your child is at a beginner level or is looking to develop their skills, our programs cater for all abilities. All classes are progressive in nature so your child can grow in skill and confidence at their own pace.

 

Not everyone takes to the water enthusiastically but with swimming providing so many health benefits it is well worth reconsidering taking the plunge. Here are some tips to help you learn to love swimming.

Set goals:

Having a clear goal can help you stay motivated and focused while swimming. Set achievable goals for yourself, such as improving your technique, increasing your endurance, or completing a certain distance.


Try different styles of swimming:

Experiment with different strokes and styles of swimming, such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Finding a style that you enjoy can make swimming more enjoyable.


Find a swimming buddy:

Swimming with a friend can make the experience more enjoyable and help you stay motivated.


Vary your routine:

Mix up your routine by trying different types of workouts, such as sprints, distance swims, or interval training.


Listen to music or audio books:

Listening to music or an audio book can help make the time go by more quickly and make swimming more enjoyable.


Focus on the benefits:

Remind yourself of the benefits of swimming, such as improved cardiovascular fitness, stress relief, and total body workout.


Be patient:

Learning to love swimming takes time and patience. Stick with it and eventually, you may find that you have a newfound appreciation for this healthy and enjoyable activity.
