With the summer weather already kicking in, having the kids swim skills refreshed and ready to go in anticipation for the school holidays is a great idea!

The perfect way to ensure kids swim skills are up to scratch during the peak summer period is through intensive kids swimming lessons! In addition to boosting their confidence in the water, there are also many other benefits of signing them up to intensive swim lessons.

1. Continuous lessons

Swim School intensive programs are offered in 4 or 5 day blocks. This intensive approach to learning means kids will cover a months' worth of their regular lessons in just one week! Whether kids need to focus on refining or expanding their skill set, repetition enables retention of key swimming concepts, resulting in rapid progression of water confidence and technique.

2. Continuity in the learning process

With back to back lessons, the shorter time between learning will increase kids retention rate of the skills they learnt in class the previous day. Meaningless time in lessons need to be dedicated to the revision of skills previously learnt and more on building new skills each day. This lesson structure allows for rapid skill development and a noticeable difference in children's capability upon completion. These are only a few of the many life lessons kids learn from swimming.

3. Provides structure in the school holidays

With the Christmas holidays just a few weeks away, it's time to start thinking about ways to keep the little monkeys busy! With such a long holiday period it can be hard to have something fun and exciting planned for each and every day. An intensive swim program is a great way to break up the school holidays and provide a structured balance between fun and learning. An added plus is that lessons give you the chance to have a much-needed break during the busiest time of the year!

4. Trial a swim school

Indecisive of whether you want to enrol the kids into a swim school or even which one you should enrol in? An intensive swim program is a great way for parents and children to trial what a program is like or even try out a new program. With the ability to enrol into as little as one lesson or a whole week of classes, you can test out the program which ever way you like and plan lessons around your holiday commitments.

5. Fun summer activity

With the summer weather already bringing fiery heat waves, where else is better to be than in the pool? During a holiday swim program, kids will have the chance to splash about and cool off in the pool while developing their skills. Intensive swim lessons are also a fantastic way for kids to meet new friends along the way.
