Swim and Aquatics

As our continuous program is charged by direct debit the options to pay includes your credit card or bank details.

Please note that VenuesWest swim instructors are not responsible for your children before or after their class. Please remain nearby during their lesson to ensure collection is on time. Children under 12 years are not permitted to enter the venue by themselves and must be supervised at all times.

For all patrons enjoyment and safety photography and videoing of children is not permitted.

A$15.00 failed payment fee will apply where a direct debit has been rejected.

We will be running a Holiday Swim Program during the December and January Holidays.

Please ensure that you scan your fob prior to entering the pool area. Failure to scan a fob before your lesson will result in a general entry fee being applied.

All teachers hold an AUSTSWIM qualification or equivalent, CPR/Resuscitation certificate and Working with Children Check.

When the students are ready to move up a level, the teacher will instruct the Pool Deck Supervisor and the student will receive their certificate. The Pool Deck Supervisor will move the child to the new level at the same time; if space is not available they will notify the parent/guardian for further availability.

Replacement fobs will be charged a $5 fee. 

Yes, your child can commence their swimming lessons at any time. Enrolment is done online via our Customer Portal.

1:1 Private lessons are available for Children and Adults, subject to availability.

Please bring bathers, towel and goggles. All equipment is provided.

Swimming Lessons are a continuous program with progressive development. Your child will swim continuously over the year including most school holiday periods. Assessment will be ongoing, with certificates awarded when your child has achieved their skills relevant to their stage. This means you won’t need to wait until the end of the term for your child to move up to the next level. Classes are held weekly with your fees debited from your account on a weekly basis. Once you are enrolled, you will not be required to re-enrol again, unless you withdraw your enrolment and decide to re-join the program at a later date.

Swimming classes are continuous with a six week break in the December/January school holidays. Classes will continue weekly at all other times throughout the year.

We offer classes six days a week, with a variety of classes and times available.

Please note, if you enquired about our Swim School online prior to making your decision to join, please use the same email address as your original enquiry, choose Forgot password and follow the prompts to set a new password.

If your preferred class is showing 'full capacity' in our online booking please contact Swim School staff directly on 94418227 for alternate options.

Credits, refunds and make up lessons are not available for missed lessons.

For your convenience we offer the opportunity to freeze your lessons for a period of up to four weeks per year in addition to the scheduled Christmas/New Year break. Your four weeks can be taken in one block or broken up into smaller timeframes.

To do this, please log into the customer portal and enter the Freeze. Freezes are done via the portal can be completed up until midnight the day before. Follow our Freeze swimming lessons guide for step by step instructions.

Lessons will not be run on public holidays and you will not be charged. All lessons will continue during school holidays on the same day and time, except for a six week break over the Christmas and New Year period. Lessons will end with the school term calendar and resume with Term 1. More information will be provided in the lead up to these holidays.

To cancel from the Swim School program, complete the Request to Cancel form. Remember to allow 7 days’ notice as not to incur the next direct debit charges.

The outdoor pools are accessed via main Reception, accessible from the western and southern entrances to the venue.

Please check the Lane Availability before you visit, consider joining one of the many squads who call the venue home or try to swim between 9am to 3pm when pools are generally quieter.

We have disabled and pram access to our pools. Disabled toilets changerooms and baby changing tables available.

Showers toilets & hairdryers are available. Alternatively bring your own hairdryer & plug in.

Children have to be accompanied by an adult up until 12 years of age.

VenuesWest charges spectator fees to cover the costs associated with managing a large multipurpose venue, including essential services such as cleaning and provision of facilities, and in the case of aquatic sports, additional lifeguards, which are required by regulations when there is an increased number of people within the aquatic area.

At present we have no lockers on poolside available.

Pools are heated to 27ºC.

There is a walking/slow swimming lane but you will require a buoyancy belt as all our pools are deep water pools.
